SESLOC Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and self-directed team member for our Training Manager position. The Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and delivering training that is aligned with the credit union's organizational objectives and strategic goals.   Facilitates all aspects of basic to advanced training including related pre-training and post-training activities. Responsible for ensuring credit union staff are provided knowledge and skill-building tools and training interventions. Mentors employees on-the-job to maximize training transfer and accelerate application of skills for delivery of excellent member service. Develop annual training plan based on regulatory requirements.  In short, we're looking for someone who can do it all.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Recommend and determine instructional methods, utilizing individual training, group and blended instruction and learning experiences, demonstrations, workshops, online training or other relevant methods; select or develop training aids such as handbooks, operating guides, visual aids and tutorials.
  • Implement new training programs. Assess training techniques, evaluate training results, and consider process improvement techniques to suggest meaningful modifications to existing training programs.
  • Designs, develops, schedules, delivers and evaluates training and related materials, quick-references, job aids or other resource materials needed to support performance enhancement. Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training materials and electronic product/services manuals are relevant and current
  • Provide and oversee facilitation of credit union training programs including training or workshops on new products, software, or procedures. Manage and facilitate the New Hire Orientation program.

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in one or more of the following: Organizational Development, Human Resources Development, Communication, or Business Administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Minimum of five (5) years' of training and organizational development which includes curriculum design, materials and teaching, and/or related human resources experience required, some of which must be in a financial institution. Proven competency in adult learning theory and design principles. Creative ability, writing proficiency, and visual graphics design ability. Advanced oral and written communication skills. Good organizer, meticulous, and good public speaker at ease moderating groups.   Strong interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation essential.  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases/ software applications that support organizational development and goal measurements.
